Effective August 20, 2014, all international pharmacy graduates that have not engaged with the Pharmacy Examining Board of Canada (PEBC) (ie. have not started the Document Evaluation Process) prior to this date, must now register first through the National Association of Pharmacy Regulatory Authorities (NAPRA), the Pharmacists’ Gateway Canada.
NAPRAのゲートウェイというのは、以前にこのブログでも紹介しましたが、外国人薬剤師としてカナダで薬剤師業務を始めるに当たって、どのようなことに精通していないかを見極めるアンケートのようなものですが、それと同時に、PEBC合格に向けての道しるべとしての機能も持ち合わせています。
これまでにDEのプロセスを開始していない人は、このPharmacists’ Gateway Canadaにまずは登録する必要があります。
更に重要なのは、上記のリンク先の書類のStep 9です。
Successfully complete the Structured Practical Training (SPT) offered in The Canadian Pharmacy Practice Programme (CP3). The Canadian Pharmacy Practice Programme (CP3) is under the Division of Continuing Pharmacy Professional Development at UBC. The College recognizes the SPT component within the CP3 programme. つまり、UBCのCP3に含まれるSPTと呼ばれる実習にいってくださいという旨が記されています。
こちらはStructured Practical Training (SPT) Programへのリンクをみると、もっとはっきり書いてあります。SPTを受けるには、CP3に入らないといけないということです。
To fulfill the requirements of the College’s SPT program, you are required to enrol in the Canadian Pharmacy Practice Programme (CP3) through the University of British Columbia-Continuing Pharmacy Professional Development (UBC-CPPD) department at: http://cpd.pharmacy.ubc.ca/content/canadianpharmacy-practice-programme.
これはPEBC挑戦者の予算や計画に大きな影響を与えます。CP3に初めから行くつもりで頑張ってる人にとっては、大したことはないかもしれませんが、そのように計画していなかった人も多くいます。
今後カナダで薬剤師を目指す方は、カレッジの指定する流れで受験計画を立ててください。
