Birth controlについて５(2nd generation OCP)

カナダで販売されている2nd generationのピルには、ブランドネームでAlesse、Triquilar、Min-ovralがあります。

このグループに用いられているprogestinはlevonorgestrelですが、こちらはECP(emergency contraceptive pillの略, morning after pillともいう)の主成分でもあります。

私の日常業務の範囲では「Alesse」は頻繁に処方されるピルの一つで、ホルモン活性はE+/P+/A++となっています。(E: estrogen, P: progestin, A: androgen, 参考: RxFiles 9th ed)

もしも全体のバランスとしてEstrogenが足りなければそのサインが出てきます。

• early bleeding and spotting days 1 - 9
• continuous bleeding or spotting
• decrease in flow　月経血量の減少
• absence or withdrawal bleeding 消退出血
• nervousness 神経質
• pelvic relaxation
• atrophic vaginitis 萎縮性膣炎
• vasomotor symptoms 血管運動症状

またprogestinが足りなくてもそのサインが出ます。

• late bleeding and spotting days 10 - 21
• delayed withdrawal bleeding
